The hardest thing that I have ever done

The hardest thing that I have ever done.....

It wasn't gradating high school or college....
It wasn't being pregnant....
It wasn't labor or delivery....
It wasn't endless sleepless nights with a newborn....

It was giving up...
It was letting go....
It was finally admitting to myself that things wouldn't change--that I couldn't change them...
It was discovering who someone really was and who they were just pretending to be....

I used to think that I was just a quitter. I could make this work! IT HAS TO WORK! It wasn't all up to me. No matter how much I willed it, I couldn't change who a person really is. I couldn't MAKE someone care. Nothing I did was enough. I finally quit. I finally let go of the way I thought things should be and accepted how things really are. And it was really hard.

I can't wait to move back to Atlanta and be with my real friends who aren't just friends with me through fair weather-and my family who cares about me even though they warned me about him and I didn't listen.

I'm tired of the gov and school boards blaming teachers for low test scores. Yes, I could understand doing that if a certain teacher had significantly lower scores than the other teachers-its probably the teacher's fault. But when an entire schook is underacheiving, hke can it really be every teacher's fault? I can gaurantee that if you took all of the highest performing teachers and out them in a school like mine, the scores would be pretty much the same.

When will parents be held accountable? Maybe they're not learning because they have never been taught how to be respectful and how to work hard. The kids come and are uncontroable terrors in the classroom to the point where im spending the whole class time trying to get them to shut up and pick up their pencils. When that finally happens, half the class would rather stare at their desks than actually replace some of that air in their heads with something useful. Forget about having parental support-i have had a parent tell me that from 7 to 3 their kid is my problem and she doesnt want to hear about it. Maybe theyd want to hear about if their food stamps and welfare checks depended on the kid's behavior and test scores.  Im not sayjng they have to pass or no food stamps but what about truancy and getting into fights? Or blatantly doing NOTHING. All of these kids would pass if they tried. I know its extreme but it might work. And I know there are downsides but I cant think of another option right now.

Go ahead, keep firing teachers. Then no one will want to teach. Then Georgia really will be the dumbest state in the country.

Sigh

I hate how relevant this song is to my life right now....

We're driving slow through the snow on 5th Avenue
And right now radio's all that we can hear
That we ain't talk since we left, it's so over due
It's cold outside but between us

The world slows down
But my heart beats fast right now
I know this is the part
Where the end starts

I can't take it any longer
Thought that we were stronger
All we do is linger
Slipping through our fingers
I don't wanna try now
All that's left's goodbye to
Find a way that I can tell you
I hate this part right here
I hate this part right here
I just can't take your tears
I hate this part right here
[I Hate This Part Right Here Lyrics On http://www.elyricsworld.com/ ]
Everyday, 7 takes of the same old scene
Seems we're bound by the laws of the same routine
Gotta talk to you now 'fore we go to sleep
But will we sleep once I tell you

The world (the world) slows down (slows down)
But my heart beats fast right now
I know (i know) this is the part
Where the end starts

I can't take it any longer
Thought that we were stronger
All we do is linger
Slipping through our fingers
I don't wanna try now
All that's left's goodbye to
Find a way that I can tell you
I hate this part right here
I hate this part right here
I just can't take your tears
I hate this part right here

I know you'll ask me to hold on
And carry on like nothing's wrong
But there is no more time for lies
'Cause I see sunset in your eyes

I can't take it any longer
Thought that we were stronger
All we do is linger
Slipping through our fingers
I don't wanna try now
All that's left's goodbye to
Find a way that I can tell you

That I gotta do it,
I gotta do it,
I gotta do it
I hate this part
I gotta do it,
I gotta do it,
I gotta do it

I hate this part right here
I just can't take these tears
I hate this part right here !!!!

Haven't done this in a while....

After going back and reading my previous posts, I have come to the conclusion that I really only blog when I am really really mad or annoyed about something, when I cannot sleep, or when I am extremely happy about something.
To be honest, I don't feel like I can be 100% honest on this blog. Maybe I should start a new one that no one knows about? I suppose I care too much about the feelings of others. There are a lot of things that annoy be about people that I know would cause some tension in my daily life if those people were to read my blog. I registered for a tumblr which I know none of my friends know about but that site is just too darn hard to navigate! I cannot figure out how the heck to do or find anything!
Well, here I am fitting into one of my three reasons to blog: it's late, I can't sleep and I'm bored. I am sure if I just put down the laptop and laid here in the dark I would fall asleep...eventually. That would be too easy...I would much rather feed my boredom than my sleepiness I guess!
Quite a bit has happened in Catherine-land actually! You are looking at your newest High School Math Teacher!!! Yep, got a job without hardly trying. I really wasn't applying to actually get a job! I just wanted to apply for the experience of applying for a teaching job and (if i got the interview) interview practice. Well, it turns out they really liked me and the rest is history! I wasn't planning to teach this soon but it really just FELL into my lap! I hope I am ready!
This summer, Michael has been in Atlanta while I am in Statesboring. It has been a long stressful summer! I really just want my space heater (aka Michael) to come home! I am glad that he is able to spend some time with his family and make some money..he wouldn't be doing much of either down here in the Boro.
Hulu Plus has finally snaked me in! I am not even sure what parts are exclusive to hulu plus or what parts are for everyone, even non-paying people but I do know that I don't want to find out! I will now be paying $8 a month for a service I am not even sure about what I am getting. I did discover my newest obsession, Modern Family, while browsing through Hulu.
I think I am going to try to post more regularly and for more reasons than just my regular three. We'll see how long that will last!

Ugh STRESS!

I just don't know if I am going to survive these next 3 and a half weeks! Among a couple more tests and finals, I have a 2 huge projects and endless homework! All I want to do is go to sleep and wake up on May 14th!

I am so stressed out but I am trying not to let that stress seep into the only free time I actually have! I want to enjoy my free time not let all the other junk bother me!

Michael is moving back home for the summer :( I am really happy for him because he will be making a lot of money and getting some crucial experience in the "Law" world! On the other hand, I am super sad that we will be living 3 and a half hours away from me for three months! At least he is going to try to visit as much as possible and I will try to go to Atlanta as much as possible too! We do have two vacations to go on together as well.

As of today, I have begun my application to be a math teacher in Bulloch County. I am not sure at what shcool this position is but I think it will be at Statesboro High School. I am worried they will shrug me off because I am not officailly certified.I emailed the person in charge of certification for Bulloch County and hopefully I will hear from her soon!

The stress from school has really put a damper on our relationship but I really thing that we have gotten past all that mess now and we are happy as can be now :) More to come!

Frustration

Today, or this week rather, has been very stressful and frustrating.

Somehow, I have managed to get myself scheduled for a grand total of 49 hours of work. Did I mention that I also have three tests this week on top of actually attending class. Luckily, 8 of those work hours could be used towards studying. If the tutoring center is not busy, then I can do my own work while not tutoring. That is hardly the case. Tonight I have had non stop "customers" thus getting almost nothing done.

One of my tests is done for the week, thankfully, and 27 of my 49 hours of work are done. I am not super concerned about my Econ test tomorrow. Yes, I got a 79 on the first test, but I actually intend to study for this one! It is easy material, just a matter of reviewing. I also have homework due tomorrow that counts for 20 points of my Friday's test. I guess you could say it's a "take-home" test. There are eight problems and I am on number 2. Each one takes about 30 minutes to do...

When I am stressed out, the number one thing that I want to do is sleep. Most people LOSE sleep on finals week--I get the most sleep of my semester that week! I really just want to go home and go to sleep and worry about it in the morning!

That's the stressful part of my life...now for the FRUSTRATING PART.

As any Georgian college student is probably aware, the fate of HOPE Scholarship is a little shaky. The general plan right now is to up the GPA requirements for eligibility. I think that is fair. After all, it is a SCHOLARship. It should be based on merit. Most Georgians have become complacent with the 3.0 and now they are in an uproar that the MERIT is being raised. Maybe people should work harder for their money. I may not like that it is going up, but it is 100% fair.

So I am sitting in the tutoring place minding my own business when I hear one student talking to another saying "well my parents told me that them democrats want to make it so if your parents collectively make over a certain amount then you aren't eligible for HOPE."

SINCE WHEN is HOPE a need-based scholarship. Last I knew, a scholarship was something earned as an achievement, not because you need it. You should HAVE to work for it!

What happens if a student's parents make over set limit but do not support that student at all. What about non-traditional students who are married or are no longer in the care of the parents? Should their merit and hard work be dismissed just because their parents make money, of which the student benefits none?

For example, my dad does not pay my tuition but he makes over the amount that would qualify me for the Pell Grant.

WHATS THE WORST is that this student in the tutoring center was completely agreeing with his parents and when I asked him what those students whose parents make too much but don't offer any money should do, his response was, "tough luck, they can get student loans." Why can't those less merited students get loans? Why should the harder workers and higher achievers have to get loans while those with lower grades and may/may not work hard get the free handouts?

After that, I had to ignore him. I was not about to cause a scene. It was very frustrating.

Maybe my next blog will be a little happier....

Oh Walgreens......

I think one day I might hire a writer (because I talk/write in long complex run-on sentences that only I can decipher) to write a book for me all about Walgreens.

It will have the attitude of something like Chelsea Handler's books or Tucker Max's books (I want to read his new one actually!). Each little chapter would be a day in the life of a Walgreens employee. Only the interesting or funny or frustrating days would make it into the book, of course!

I mean seriously, is the whole world this stupid or is there some invisible wall that customers walk into when they enter the store that makes them completely unable to think or use common sense.

For example, Snuggies are "in" this year....again.... so of course, we sell out of all the "cool" colors and are left with only the ugly bruise purple snuggies and the UGA snuggies. A customer asks me if there are any more snuggies so I show her where all of the snuggies we have left are and tell her, "here they are. These are the ONLY snuggies we have left." She looks disappointed but I just walk away to let her wallow about how her step great uncle's son-in-law isn't going to get the color snuggie he wants.
About 10 minutes later, she walks up to me with a tye-dye snuggie and says, "Do you think you could look in the back for another one of this pattern?"
I took a deep breath so I wouldn't come across bitchy and RE-explained to her that those were the only ones. SERIOUSLY, did she not believe me or something?

Another think I wonder (but probably hope to never see for myself) is how some of these people's houses look!

Do they take their milk out of the fridge and then just leave it on the other side of the kitchen because they don't want to walk back to the fridge?

Do they miss the toilet seat and then just leave it there for the next family member or guest to find?

Do they hold up a shirt from their drawer, decide not to wear it, and just throw the shirt wherever it is most convenient?

I hope, for their sake, that they don't do these things at home. Why must they do it here? Do they think we have elves that clean up every night? I know I get paid to do it but honestly, I was hired to be a cashier and process photos not to be Walgreens' maid.

I seriously could write this whole book in this post right now but I will spare you.

Other than Walgreens, life is great! haha

The more I work at Walgreens, the more glad I am that I am about to graduate and get a real job. It's weird to think that a lot of people I work with consider this their real job. Hm..

Until next tim....

Money money money moooooney

So, the universe is out to get me! The second I have money (I mean, whoah I think I set a record with the amount of money in my bank account!) life attacks me with stuff I have to pay for!

At first it was going to be a lot more than it really is now, but I guess life felt bad for me so it cut me a little break.

My new apartment I am moving into THANKFULLY is accepting financial aid early so I didn't have to pay THAT at least!

So let's see, how much money do I owe right now?

Well, first thing: I had to buy plane tickets to go to New Jersey. Michael's parents are paying me back for his half, but they cant until next week.

Next set back: Michael's car broke down about 15 miles from the Statesboro exit the other night (Thank God we bought plane tickets, right! We WERE going to drive his car to NJ) Again, his dad will be paying for it but not until next week.

Subtotal so far? about $800

Lastly, rent is due TODAY (along with pretty m uch everything else) Michael will still be paying for his half but this still puts quite a significant dent into my bank account! The good news is that I will be getting about $600 of it back :)

Oh life, how you keep things interesting....or stressful, more like.

I walked into work with that new (annoying) song by Keshia: My first kiss went a little like thiiis...............
ugh! and I told the girl Im working with it now we both have it stuck in our heads!

After reading this back to myself, I realize now why no one reads this! I guess I could be brutally honest about how I feel about everything and everyone (Usually it's not good things I'm thinking about some things, unfortunately) but I guess I care too much about other people's feelings. I don't want to be "that bitch" who causes all this unnecessay drama just because they don't normally get wnogh attention. And, honestly, most people overreact about what is said to them anyways. I really don't want to go through that. I will just keep my thoughts to myself...or keep them with Michael anyways. Poor guy, he has to hear me talk about what he thinks is meaningless allll day. haha

Karma Comes Back Around hahaha

For those of you who don't know, I despise my roommates. They decided a few months ago that they don't like me because I confided in them about a problem I was having and I didn't take their advice. Now, I give and get a lot of advice but I have never ever gotten offended when someone does not take my advice. Advice is there to offer another option that a person may not have thought of or give another point of view. It is not explicit instructions. Ultimately, I am the one who makes the decision...NOT them!!!
So ever since then, they have ignored me, which I don't mind because all they do is meddle into other people's lives and cause drama. I welcome the silence. I guess they didn't want things to go that way, because when I ignored them back, they got mad and started doing mean things to me! I kept my cool, and just kept to myself and that just made them meaner.
I knew the time would come when karma would come back around and I patiently waited until that day. That day came (for one of them, anyways) last night. It was AWESOME. Here's what happened:
A drunk guy backed up in a parking lot ONTO another car. One of the bottom cars was my roommate's car! I do not feel one ounce of sorry for her! This isn't the first thing to happen to her car either: someone etched "Fuck You" into her car last semester. It's just more proof that if you're a bitch, bad things will happen to you!
The rest of this drunk driver story is more interesting though: He backed up onto the car, got out and started running from the cops. The cops then tazed him and detained him, all while the drunk guy was mouthing off to the cops. This was very entertaining. Made. My. Night. The picture is above :-D.
That's the most exciting thing going on in my life right now!

Very Frustrating

It is 12:20 now and I was supposed to have lunch plans today. It was supposed to be an early lunch--12-1ish. Guess who I haven't heard from yet? Guess whose phone is off? Guess who is probably asleep? MY LUNCH DATE.

I am the most OCD person when it comes to making plans or knowing the time and when things start and just basically anything that happens to do with time or schedules. HE KNOWS THAT TOO.

It is very frustrating that now I am hungry because I was planning to eat right about now and I can't get a hold of the person I am trying to eat with. When does it become ok to make other plans? Should I wait until 1pm and then make other plans for lunch or should I just say "screw it" and eat now?

HE DOES THIS ALL THE TIME AND IT IS SO ANNOYING!!!!!!!! I hate when people are not conscious of others' time and schedules. It's ALLLL about them.

UGH.

Leadership

When does being compassionate turn into being walked all over and abused? When is it the 'sisterly' thing to do and when is it the right thing to do for the whole group?

The President of the United States or the Prime Minister of Great Britain does not run for those positions to befriend everyone or to make the whole world happy. They do what will benefit the entire people, even if that means that some people are not getting exactly what they want.

Sometimes people in leadership positions have to make very difficult decisions. Hours of planning, discussing, and sometimes arguing go into making these decisions so that these leaders can ensure that, in their eyes, the BEST decision is being made. The opinions of these leaders may not be the same opinions as you, but you voted for them to represent the whole group and to make these difficult decisions based on their opinions and experience.

How many people in the world don't vote in presidential elections but complain about every single thing the president does? How many people have the opportunity to hold a leadership position but do not embrace this opportunity and then complain about the decisions of the people who DID step up to lead the group?

The decisions of leaders are not always the easiest to make, but they make them in hopes to better the group they are serving.

Of course in a sisterhood it is important to be compassionate and understanding, but when does it go too far? When does this compassion interfere with the running and sustainability of the group?

Just something to think about.

"I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure: which is: Try to please everybody." -Herbert B Swope, world famous Journalist during WW1

"Leaders shouldn't attach moral significance to their ideas: Do that, and you can't compromise." -Peter F Drucker, famous writer, professor and management consultant

"The art of leadership is saying no, not yes. It is very easy to say yes." - Tony Blair, past Prime Minister of Great Britain

Abortion

Recently, a friend of mine boldly stated that if she were to become pregnant any time soon, that it would be no contest that she would get and abortion. I just smiled and nodded when she said this because I, personally, am against abortion 100% but I also believe that each person should make their own decisions. There are always circumstances in which abortion may be the best option but, to me, only in rare or dangerous situations should abortion be a top option.

Abortion should not be used as another form of birth control! If you claim that you are mature enough to have sex, then be mature enough the accept the responsibilities that often come along because of it. "I'm just too young" is not a good reason to have an abortion. There are so many other options!

First of all, there is adoption. I think that getting pregnant in itself is a miracle! It is such a beautiful thing that many people take for granted. There are so many people in the world that would do anything just to have this miracle happen to them but it never happens. They would be great parents and could support a family, but their bodies just don't make it happen. How could someone act like their getting pregnant is so horrible and want an abortion when there are people out there who can't get pregnant at all??

Also, I've heard or seen on pregnancy shows (like the show "16 and Pregnant" on MTV) that some girls think, "Oh, it would be so hard giving up MY baby for adoption! I don't think I'm strong enough!" Oh, but you're strong enough to kill it??

Sadly, adoption is often very expensive and hard to actually receive a child. That leaves many families childless and depressed.

Unfortunately, too many teenagers are getting pregnant and just whisking away to abortion clinics to "solve their problem" but I can't help but wonder if they'll regret it later on in their life when they have trouble getting pregnant because of the abortion.

Obviously my opinions differ from many people but I had to share it with all of you in blogger world.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAEL!

Hello blogger world!

First and foremost: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAEL! I know it wasn't the BEST birthday you've ever had (REALLY, who gives their kids chores and schedules a doctor's appt on their birthday!) but I'm glad it could be better because of me! =)

So, I'm leaving for New Jersey in less than 36 hrs! woo! I am so excited to see all of my cousins and aunts, uncles and grandparents! I'm also nervous/excited for Michael to meet my whole family =) I know they'll like him. EVERYONE likes him! Even girls I hate that make him cocky because they all fawn all over him! Hopefully I'll get a good tan!

The other day, we were talking about what we would do if we won a million dollars (or 60 million dollars cause that's what the lottery is like now) and this is what I've decided I would spend it on:

1. Pay off my whole family's debt. Except for any credit card in Gloria's name because I hate her.

2. Set up some trust funds for my future kids (I'll plan for 3 and see how that works). Hopefully I won't find out how many kids I'm having too soon.

3. Buy a new car!!!!!!! Probably and audi or a mercedes. I LOVE MERCEDES.

4. Buy a FUN car! (First, I'd try to buy my dad's '69 yellow Firebird convertible) If that doesn't work, then I'll go hunting for another firebird to get. Then I'd buy the new 2010 CAMARO. like the one in Transformers *drool*

5. Donate a lot to a charity of my choice

6. Make my whole wardrobe burberry and buy every kate spade purse

7. Buy a beach house, regular house, and mountain house near or at a ski resort!

8. Summer long or maybe longer trip around the world. I wanna fill my passport!!! and a few suitcases with souveirs

well, I think that's enough to spend it on...

I probably won't write again until after my trip when I post some awesome fun pictures!

Peace out!

SO HAPPY!

I'm so happy Michael came down this weekend! The past 2 months, I've been living four hours away from him and have barely seen him. When I have seen him, it's only for a couple hours at a time and usually only for a couple days. But now, he came to visit ME and we can lay in bed and cuddle as much as we want without interruption. =)

It's hard with a long distance relationship to keep that strong bond and connection that you have with someone when you're together. We managed ok but it's been hard. Our jealous sides have definitely come out. But now that we're here together, everything just fits right back into place and it's like we've spent no time apart at all! For the rest of the summer, I will not have to spend as much time away from him as I have at the beginning of the summer and I'm very glad about that. I'm excited for next year when we're living within a 2 minutes walk of each other.

I am so happy right now!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU MICHAEL. Happy early birthday too.

Sorry to everyone that I am so sickeningly and cutsy-ing-ly in love. I hope I don't annoy anyone lol

IIIINTERESTING DAY

So much has happened today both in my personal life and in the world.

Tutoring went really well today. We kinda bonded. Is it sad that I watch a lot of the same TV shows as an 8 year old? hm..

I have finally cleaned my room! Well, I'm almost done. Just a little more clutter to organize and some dusting left to do. Then, I only have the bathroom to clean and the dishes to do! OH JOY!

Today has been a very sad day for the entire world. Farrah Fawcett was in international beauty and icon. Everyone recognizes her, especially her hair. I always loved her hair! There was an episode of Shear Genius where Farrah was a guest judge. It was my favorite episode! Creating that hairstyle is NOT easy! Already saddened by that, it was hard to believe that the day could get worse. Then, it did.

Michael Jackson is a legend. Probably not sense the death of John Lennon or Elvis has there been such devastation in the music world. Often, we portray celebrities, especially those as legendary as Michael Jackson, as invincible so it comes as much more of a shock to us when something like this happens.

Probably the most shocking thing to happen, was that some people were as disrespectful as to mention the scandal behind his life and death. Can't we even give him 24 hours to let him find peace! What about his family? They want to remember the good things about him especially in the days to come. I'm sure every single person out there would be even more devastated if people were talking about your loved one's dirty laundry on the day of their death.

Lastly, I want to mention how obsessed I am with twitter!!! It's so entertaining. I follow more celebrities than friends now, like Perez Hilton and John Mayer. It's very entertaining, especially when Perez gets into drama with other stars! Today's twitter fight was between Perez Hilton and Pete Wentz. LOL

Well, that's all for today. I better get back to my cleaning! AH is it already 10:30????? I better get to work!

Tutoring

I have a feeling it's going to be a LONG summer tutoring Hannah. It's only been 3 days and so far one of those days has been cancelled and one day has been pushed back an hour.... I'm glad that I'm a punctual person!

Today Michael and I have been dating for 9 months. We decided not to make a big deal out of months anymore...just years/half years. I've never been in this long of a relationship. It's exciting! It's also his mom's b-day. Happy Birthday Mrs. Schaaf!

Post-Feminism

I decided, or rather discovered, today that I am a post-feminist. The definition of Post-Feminism that I most fit with is the belief that feminism is no longer relevant in today's society. I guess I also relate with some contemporary feminists that believe that separating the sexes rather than uniting them is sexism. Many traditional feminists do just that: separate the sexes.

I think that pointing out the differences between men and women rather than the similarities only separates the two genders even more, thus, leading to inequality. So many people are willing to claim that they are feminists but then revert back to pre-feminist ways like depending on a man to live and to be happy.
For example, there are all these shows on TV now that portray "independent" women who are successful and comfortable with their sexuality and have exciting sex lives. On the other hand, their emotions and feelings are constantly at the mercy of men. Go ahead, be independent and fight for the equality! Do that, but don't be a hypocrite and revert back to the traditional gender roles. You can't have both! You can;t pick and choose when you want to be equal and when you expect a man to be in the lead.

I don't get why women fight for equality in the workplace but they also expect a man to open a door for her or pay for her meal on a date. Traditionally, a man would pay for a date because he made more money or he was courting the woman. Don't expect equality AND to be treated differently (like giving up his seat on the bus for you or paying for your meal). You just can't have both!

5 am

So, I have this job now tutoring an 8 yr old with her math because she got behind during the school year. Today at 10 am was supposed to be day one. I had planned on leaving Atlanta last night around 4 or 5 pm to come to Statesboro but then in conveniently began storming. I decided that I would stay the night in Atlanta and wake up early the next day to get home by 10 for tutoring.

I was pretty happy about this because that meant I could spend more time with Michael :)

I went to trivia with him and his friends. It was fun even though we cheated, and, as a soon-to-be teacher, I wasn't too excited about that. His friends are nice too. They're a little boisterous and towards the end of trivia they totally weren't paying attention but it was still good.

After that we went to brusters where I FINALLY got a banana split! YUM Totally worth $5

After that, I went home to go to bed early to prepare for the drive the next day. That turned into me talking on the phone with Michael til past midnight!

Despite not going to bed when I had planned, I was able to wake up at 5 and take a shower and eat breakfast in time to be on the road by 5:45. I get off the exit for Statesboro at around 8:40 (GREAT TIME RIGHT?!!) and get a call from the mom of the girl I'm tutoring. Guess why she's calling??? TO CANCEL!! Apparently, her daughter went to a sleepover last night and now she can't get a hold of her soooooo yea. GLAD I WOKE UP AT 5!

buuut now I'm here and have more time for the pool :) I wish Michael were down here with me though :( He's coming this weekend so I only have to wait a few more days :)

So, it's only 10 am and I have so much so far to write about my day! Maybe I'll wake up early more often

My first blog

So, this is my first blog ever!
Well, I had a xanga but that was in high school and it was kinda dumb. I wrote some stupid things.
So should I introduce myself to blogger world? I guess I could although I don't think anyone will ever read this!
My name's Catherine and I go to Georgia Southern University. I love the school but I HATE it's location..mainly because rednecks and really really really really really southern people also live there. I just can't wait to get out of the south.

I hate trucks, expecially lifted trucks, loud cars, the Georgia flag and the Confederate flag, WalMart, camo, hunting, guns in general, most country music, and cowboy boots. I also don't like Southern "charm" or the idea that men are supposed to be "Southern gentlemen." Why can't men and women just be polite for each other?? Can't I open a door for you once in a while? Oh, and I absolutely HATE tea--iced or hot, they're both gross.

So, as you can see, I don't really fit in well with many people in my area. Thankfully, the campus is diverse enough where I can meet non-rednecks.

So now you probably think I'm a big hater considering my longest paragraph so far is of things I hate. I do love a lot of things too though!

I love my amazing boyfriend, Michael, who is my other half--somtimes I think he's my other three-forths. We've been dating for 9 months now and even though we've had some bad days together, there have been triple the amount of good days to counter them. I love all of my great friends! I don't have many close friends but I know that the ones that I DO have are true. I have many not-so-close friends that I love hanging out with but would never count on them and probably would never confide in them. I love my family. Even though it was a rocky one growing up, I still love my fam and would do anything for them! I especailly love my brothers and my dad even though they get on my nerves a lot. I'm very close with my grandparents and extended families. My cousins and I talk regularly and I'm going to see them next week! I can't wait!

I love gossip! I don't know why. I love hearing about people's dirty (and clean I guess) laundry. My favorite thing to hear about is when someone gets what they deserve! I love figuring out who knows who and how or why, who's dating who and will it work out? Call me crazy, but my life's pretty boring so I have to entertain myself with other people's lives. I usually don't meddle. I just absorb information like a sponge. I bet people would be surprised if they knew how much I know about people. I don't juudge them though. If i hear or see something about someone, I always make sure to give them a chance myself. Everyone has their quirks.

What else do I love?? I love math, hence why I'm a math major. I plan to teach math at a secondary level after graduation. Teaching is my passion and I've known this my whole life. I guess I'm lucky that way--never being confused about what to major in or what I want to do with my life. I love food--sometimes too much. My favorites are chocolate, pizza, and mac and cheese but there are many things close to the top too. I love cooking and eating! I'm surprised I'm not 800 pounds by now!

I guess you have somewhat of an idea of who I am blogger world! Let's see if anyone reads this! I doubt it. There are much more interesting people in the world. Of course I'll blog here, but I think I'll spend more time on others' blogs reading about their lives! Even though I busy myself with other people's live and knowing everything about someone, I am still perfectly happy with mine. I wouldn't change how things are for the world!
